FAQ's about ART

What are some of the conditions ART effectively treats?

Tennis Elbow, Golfers Elbow, Achilles Tendinitis, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Knee and Leg Pain, Frozen Shoulder, Hip Pain, Sciatica, TMJ, Wrist Injuries, Repetitive Strain Injuries, Headaches, etc.

Is the ART treatment Painful?

The first couple of Art treatments can be somewhat uncomfortable depending on the severity of the injury and patient tolerance. However, even if the treatment is uncomfortable and reproduces their symptoms, this is only temporary and will stop a few seconds after the treatment.

How long do ART treatments take?

The initial consultation, examination and treatment will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Subsequent ART treatments will take about 10-30 minutes, depending upon the severity and site of the injury, and if multiple injuries are involved.

How quickly will I see results from ART?

In most cases, patients will experience a positive result following the first treatment.  Patients may experience decreased pain, increased range of motion, increased strength and decreased numbness and tingling. However, the rate of improvement will depend upon many factors such lifestyle, daily activities, and duration of injury.

Is ART similar to other soft tissue treatments such as trigger point therapy, massage, etc.?

ART is unlike any other soft-tissue therapy. Treatments are specific and can be customized to fit the precise needs of patients.  Many other soft-tissue techniques use a limited number of protocols, which are generically applied to all related injuries. Unlike most soft-tissue treatments, ART providers are able to identify restrictions or adhesions at different depths and levels of tissue, providing a more effective level of treatment.

Does my insurance cover ART?

Many insurances will cover ART, it just depends on your coverage.  When you come in for your initial consultation and exam, we will personally contact your insurance provider to determine your coverage for you.
